At the beginning of 2019 I set myself 6 goals. Whilst I’m a bit late to the party with a review of the year, I’m taking the time to look back at what I’d hoped to achieve, and what actually happened.

VIEW POSTWhat seems like a million Christmas’s ago, both Ma and my in-laws bought me an Ehrman tapestry kit. The first cushion is Three Tulips Blue. The second is Beautiful Sheep.
VIEW POSTThis Geranium tunic is the 7th version of the Made by Rae Geranium Dress Pattern. I’ve made it as a baby gift, and Summer has, quite literally grown up in this pattern.
VIEW POSTYet another Blackwood cardigan by Helen’s Closet! This is the last for the moment, I think! Although there is a stray piece of French terry in the stash. That may or may not become my 5th iteration of this pattern.
VIEW POSTJalie 2802 to the rescue again as Dylan’s old bodysuit was looking very shabby. But it had served a real purpose as this time now we knew exactly what he’s looking for in a shirt.
VIEW POSTI don’t mind admitting that Helen’s Closet Blackwood cardigan is my favourite pattern of all time!
VIEW POSTMy Stash Stories for 2019 began in January when I set out some goals for myself to clear the seemingly bottomless pile of fabric in my sewing room.
The three key goals for my stash this year were:
VIEW POSTI think the Made by Rae Geranium dress is one of my most used patterns. I’ve made it for Summer several times over the years, and used it to make gifts for friend’s little girls.
VIEW POSTThese adorable sheep in sweaters were a gift at least a year ago from my friend Liz. They’ve been lurking on my To Do list, until Ma asked if I’d any projects I needed help with. She was happy to knit these up for me.
They are really quite delightful! The larger sheep measures 13cm x 10cm.
VIEW POSTHave you seen the Drop Sleeve Top from The Avid Seamstress? I’m sure you’re familiar with Lisa and her lovely patterns. The Drop Sleeve Top (DST) is a free pattern she offers to subscribers. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen me working on this pattern recently.
Whilst I love the Newlook top that I made last year, I wanted a simple top with slightly more elevated details. The DST has that.
