Sneak peak of our Mother’s Day treat

March 29, 2011

On Saturday I’m treating Ma to a day at a bag making workshop at The Patchwork Chicks in Barrowford. Obviously it would be rude of me to expect her to go on her own, so being the selfless individual I am, I’m sacrificing my day to go with her.

Hang on whilst I take my tongue out of my cheek!

We had homework to complete prior to the day.  3 stitcheries which will feature on the pockets of the bag.

A slightly squint-eyed owl

A squirly dragonfly

The fabric is from the Maison de Garance range by French General for Moda.I just love this colour palette.

I think we’re going to have a lovely day.  I’ll report back.

Sounds like you are in for a real treat of a day. What a fabulous Mothers Day gift. Should I hint to my boys that I would oh so love to go to a cupcake workshop? Sadly they are both poor students so I will just have to dream on! Have a lovely day with your ma and I can’t wait to see the end product xx

Ooooooh cupcakes. You could go to the Bertinet Kitchen in Bath. But then I may never speak to you again! Richard Bertinet is so gorgeous. But it is definately beyond the means of impoverished students. Maybe hubby-to-be could be persuaded….

What a brilliant idea but I would have to speak very very nicely to Mr R who would then point out that we have a wedding to pay for! I would love to go to Bertinet Kitchen. A course there would be amazing. Oh well, a girl can dream, and besides it wouldn’t be rather sad if you didn’t speak to me again!

I am so lucky that we have shared interests, as I’m sure you felt about your mum. I hope you have a lovely Mother’s Day with your boys.
