I’m pushing the boundaries of Kids Clothes Week by including this as it was finished last week, but, hey, isn’t that what boundaries are for?

IMG_7881_edited-2It’s Elegance & Elephant’s Ruffle Top in the tunic length made up in the last bit of Liberty cotton leftover from my Giverny dress of last year.

IMG_7887_edited-1I did consider using the pink from the shorts to make the bias for the ties and the neckline, but I’d purchased this ready made bias as it’s a perfect match for the pink in the pattern.

I think it would have worked well either way, but I do like the extra dimension the two pinks bring to the outfit.

Now all we need is some lovely weather. When it does arrived, we are prepared!

PS… These pictures make our garden look fabulous…but don’t be fooled.  It’s not!  It needs a lot of work.

Thank you…it was the first thing she wanted to wear this morning, which thrilled me. Then she realised there was another new outfit to wear, which thrilled her!

I was going to say (having spent the day in my gardens desperately trying to clean and ready them in the even that spring ever fucking gets here) – that’s a nice garden! Also, Button is really changing! She’s a big kid now. So sweet!

It’s the wonder of modern technology. There are 3 plants that look nice…the rest needs serious work and several are going on the compost heap!
I have my fingers in my ears singing la, la, la! She’s too little to be a big kid 🙁

Love that fabric and love the top and shorts!! But I do hate to point this out to you. Button has lost that little kid/toddler look. She looks more and more like a big girl!

Lovely outfit for a pretty little girl. Seriously, the colours on that print are perfect. Your kids are so lucky to have a mom who sews fabulous outfits for them.
