A heartfelt thank you

Thank you all for the kind words and good wishes on my last post.  I cannot tell you how much they mean to our family.  We are grateful for your friendship.

Ma is very much better.  We’ve had the all clear on blood clots, so that’s a huge relief.

The plasterer starts work in 3 weeks, closely followed by the decorator.  I need to get my act together and choose a colour scheme for the sewing room!

And Miss B had her best competition yet at the weekend.  She reached the quarter-finals for the Pas De Bas, semi-finals for her Cha-Cha, and placed 5th for her Waltz. That’s her waltzing in the picture above.

Mr B had a shock weekend and didn’t place at all.  It’s caused a bit of a ripple of discussion (not just at our dance school) as to why, but it’s so subjective, and he can’t win them all. Losing graciously is a life skill he’s not quite mastered. We’re working on it!

I’ll be back soon with another finished project.  You’ll be hard pushed to guess what it is.

Or maybe not 😉

So happy for the good news about your mom. It must be hard for your boy right now…but as you say it’s very subjective and unfortunately we can’t win it all. I hope they are not too pushy on him at the school because that would be unfair for such a little boy. I look forward to seeing the new color scheme!

Oh you are sweet! The dance school is hugely supportive. Mr B is wildly competitive and a shockingly bad loser. He needs to learn a little humility.

I’m looking forward to the new colour scheme. Honestly finding it really hard. Lots of paper, paint and fabric samples being pinned to the wall but nothing speaking to me. It will come!

What a time you are having. So pleased about your Ma. My dad made an excellent recovers from the same thing, just shout out to the medical teams for any support that’s available. And as for your cover, beautiful children…losing is hard, but as you say, something that we have to learn to deal with!

      Muchas gracias, Chica.

It’s certainly never a dull moment here!
Little man needs to learn to lose…he’s not remotely gracious about it at the moment. 🙁

Commiserations to Mr. B but, as you say, you can’t win them all and that’s something he would have had to learn sooner or later. Miss B is looking very elegant with her very tall partner – I’m a foot shorter than my husband so, if we should ever attempt the waltz, I imagine we’d look something like this (only not as graceful – or young 😉 )
I’m glad your Ma is better and hope she continues on the right track.

      Thank you.

I always double take when Miss B starts dancing. She transforms. It’s beautiful and heartwarming to watch.

Her partner is very tall compared to her…he’s also a champion show dancer so very good at showing her off at her very best! 😀
