At the beginning of 2019 I set myself 6 goals. Whilst I’m a bit late to the party with a review of the year, I’m taking the time to look back at what I’d hoped to achieve, and what actually happened.

VIEW POSTAccording to my Ravelry account this Honey Bee Sweater was finished in July last year. Yesterday was the first time that Summer has worn it. Cue eye roll! I think we’re at the tipping point of not wearing handmade for a while. Eeeep!
VIEW POSTThis Geranium tunic is the 7th version of the Made by Rae Geranium Dress Pattern. I’ve made it as a baby gift, and Summer has, quite literally grown up in this pattern.
VIEW POSTYet another Blackwood cardigan by Helen’s Closet! This is the last for the moment, I think! Although there is a stray piece of French terry in the stash. That may or may not become my 5th iteration of this pattern.
VIEW POSTJalie 2802 to the rescue again as Dylan’s old bodysuit was looking very shabby. But it had served a real purpose as this time now we knew exactly what he’s looking for in a shirt.
VIEW POSTMy love for the Helen’s Closet Blackwood Cardigan is well documented. This is my 3rd version and I love it as much as versions 1 and 2.
VIEW POSTI’ve made Longfellow before and it was a huge hit. I think I can safely say that this is the most worn knit I’ve made for Dave. So much so that a second was requested, again in navy, everything the same as before except the length.
VIEW POSTSeptember kicked my butt…so it seems the best time to catch up and review the Galaxie sweater that I finished ages ago. (I’ve just checked Ravelry…I completed this on 20th October last year. This review is very overdue.)
I loved Galaxie the minute I set eyes on it. I love the cropped sleeve, the draped shape and the ribbed panel up the side. I also really like the neckline on the model. I’ll revisit that later.
VIEW POSTI don’t mind admitting that Helen’s Closet Blackwood cardigan is my favourite pattern of all time!
VIEW POSTI think the Made by Rae Geranium dress is one of my most used patterns. I’ve made it for Summer several times over the years, and used it to make gifts for friend’s little girls.
