Mother’s Day

March 11, 2013

I have to tell you that I had the most splendid Mother’s day.

A lie in was followed by breakfast in bed…bacon sandwich, tea and the time to watch the news in peace.

Uninterrupted time in the shower and to blow dry my hair.

The last hour before bedtime curled up on the sofa with small peeps and a movie.

Red Velvet cake by The Husband…because we had Red Velvet cupcakes at our wedding.

A quiet evening with a chilled glass of wine all resulting in an equally chilled Mummy.

And, most importantly of all, these two little munchkins, without whom my life would be incomplete.

I am incredibly blessed with my wonderful family.

I do hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day too.

OMG, you are a freakin’ rock star in that house! I’ve never seen a mum get so many flowers, though I’d have been happy with just the cake 🙂 Sounds like a terrific time.

We had huge fun and I feel thoroughly spoiled and very much appreciated. The highlight had to be wee small boy whispering “happy Mother’s day” before going round and poking the husband in the ribs to get him up rather than me! Astonishing!

Oh, that child is going to have you over a barrel. Good luck! 🙂

          Ack…he already does. He’s a mummy’s boy…and I love it!

That sounds like a fun day, though I thought the photo beneath “A quiet evening with a chilled glass of wine all resulting in an equally chilled Mummy.” was meant to be you chilling in a darkened room for a minute! Love the photo of the “babies” looking more grown up every day.

I didn’t know a darkened room with a glass of wine was an option! 😉 That said, by the end of the day I was so chilled that I didn’t need it.
The “babies” are indeed growing up fast!

Lovely lovely lovely pics, as always, and isn’t your wee family the best.

We completely forgot mother’s day. Utterly lol. Sigh.
