Ella – FO 12/2012

April 9, 2012

The pattern is Ella from Kim Hargreaves.

I knitted it in Wollmeise laceweight.

I’ve got to get better at saving ball bands ‘cos I have not other idea than that!

All I know is that this is the perfect sweater for lounging around the house in.

Cosy but not bulky.

Great with leggings and flats.

A fabulous colour.

This sweater makes me happy.

I may just make this sweater again…with just a normal cast on edge…and enough yarn for full length sleeves.

I had just enough yarn…but I’m also now in love with knitting laceweight.

The pictures sadly don’t do it justice. The colour is so saturated and rich.

Looks fabulous!! I also love knitting laceweight, and am addicted to knitting lace shawls at the moment. Am about to start no. 3!

It’s such a joy to knit with. And doesn’t take as long as you’d think. I’d love to see pictures of your shawls.

It’s a fact . I would live in leggings if I had your thighs. Thanks for the comment on my blog – you will not regret the Craftsy course. It has been a revelation and almost on a Celia level ha ha !! Whenever you are ready to shop I will be there ( we are skint until May/ June ) x

And we know how we ADORE Celia. 🙂 I have to tell you the leggings hide a multitude of sins and I’d die for your waist and hips!

A gorgeous sweater! It looks really cosy. I also love the denim skirt you made a few weeks back.

Thank you…it’s surprisingly warm despite being such fine yarn. And so comfortable. The skirt is a favourite piece.
