Today

May 6, 2009

Today I held my baby girl in my arms for the first time.

She is beautiful.

Today my father passed away.

I am elated and bereft.

I’ll be away for a while.

Oh my goodness. When I read the first sentence
I thought “I’m so happy for you” and then it went to – oh!
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Take Care.

Yvonne, I’m simultaneously so happy and so sad for you. I’m so glad that your Dad knew about the baby even though he didn’t manage to see her, I’m sure that knowing you were to have her will have been a real comfort to him. Take good care of yourself and know we are thinking about you.
    Lots of love

I am so, so sorry that your wonderful news is tempered by this sad news. I’d like to think that the baby has her first guardian angel. I’m thrilled that you finally got to hold her and pained that you lost your father on the same day. Anything you need, anytime at all, I’m here.
