This weekend The Husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary.

Our wedding day was simply perfect.

Our married life is even better.

Don’t get me wrong…we have trials and tribulations like everyone else.  But we are a team and a family, and together we can face whatever life throws at us.

And each day I love this wonderful man even more.

Happy Anniversary my love.

Many congratulations to you both and wishing you many, many happy years together! I´ve just gone back and feasted my eyes on your dress again. It really is so stunning. I am going to a wedding in April here in Spain and might get brave and tackle something like this for myself. Will be asking for advice (especially re the petticoat and lining etc)! It´s funny, when I was about 18 I found a black dress in a very similar style in a second hand shop (I was MUCH smaller then!) and I always used to call it my Grace Kelly dress…wonder what happend to it?! PS. We celebrated 6 years togehter on 11th November – it was clearly a happy weekend for love 🙂

      Oh congratulations to you too.

I look back on my dress now and see a million things I would have done differently, but am still thrilled that I made my own dress and wore something that was much more ‘me’ than a traditional ivory gown.
