Bittersweet

April 23, 2009

In the midst of all this new life we are also dealing with terrible illness.

My father has been diagnosed with lung and liver cancer.

We are without prognosis but not without hope.

I am so sorry to read about your Father. You are an amazing woman and you will need huge courage to support him and your family. You can do it! and there is always hope and determination. Talk, talk, talk to him find out what he wants from all of you. Get someone to go to medical appointments with him to take notes. It is so overwhelming at this point. And don’t forget to recharge your own batteries. i have been living with a partner with cancer for 9 years and people tell you to take time out and they are so right. I ignored them at my peril. Be brave and enjoy all the time you have with your family. Live for each day…. hugs, Angela
