Saturday was The Husband’s birthday.
We had a quiet family day with lunch out at a local pub, just us four…
In the evening we were joined by the grandparents for cake and curry (not necessarily in that order)…
I’m afraid I don’t have the vocabulary to express just how blessed I am to have met this man, or how much joy he has brought to my life.
He is amazing. Truly the most wonderful man I’ve ever met. He’s kind and brilliant and thoughtful. An old fashioned gentleman with a great sense of humour. He works so hard for our family both in and out of the home.
He is my true love and worth waiting for through all the years it took for him to find me.
Happy birthday, my love. I hope you know just how much I love you.

I still can’t believe I got so lucky. My special talent used to be dating spectacularly rubbish men! He’s the polar opposite, and just adorable.

Aww, you brought tears to my eyes! So touching! Looks like a very lovely birthday for a very special man.

He is very special indeed. I’m a very lucky lady indeed.

Sounds like a special day for a very special family. I love the fact that he was wearing his handmade shirt 🙂
PendleStitches says
We had a great time. However, you’ll notice that in the evening the handmade shirt is missing…
That will be because he managed to cover his cuffs in mustard sauce at lunch! Thank heavens for Ace Bleach! 😉
Andrea says
Oh, no! But surely that’s a sign of a well loved shirt 🙂
PendleStitches says
Indeed. Thankfully it came out….

Ah that’s beautiful – wishing you all many, many more birthday celebrations together!

Whoa! that’s real love! I find it’s better to wait sometimes…and really understand what we really need and what we don’t want!
PendleStitches says
I swear if we’d met 10 years earlier it just wouldn’t have worked. But now…even the days when I could bury him in the garden, I can’t imagine my life without him. And our lovely kids.

A belated very very happy birthday to your lovely man. Isn’t it wonderful when a family is so close and content? I love the pictures of the cake and Boy and Button together with their dad. Thank you for posting this – it made me smile and my eyes fog up just a little 🙂
PendleStitches says
Aw thank you. I should point out that I only show the pictures of them being delightful….all three of them! 😉

Ditto!
